SEXUAL ABUSE ARREST

Albert Rauscher, an 85-year-old Babylon violin teacher who gives private lessons to a number of students at his home, has been accused of sexually abusing one of his students.  According to Newsday, a girl, described by police only as being under 11 years old, was inappropriately touched by him during a lesson.  He was arraigned on one count of first-degree sexual abuse and was being held at the Suffolk County Jail on $5,000 bail.  Police learned of the incident from the girl's parents.  There investigation is continuing and anyone with information about similar incidents is asked to call the Sex Crimes section at 631-852-6272.
