WOMAN SENTENCED FOR RAPE OF BOY, 15

Marilu Fischetti, a 43 year old teacher's assistant, was charged on March 8, 2003, with raping a 15 year old boy in her Long Island home.  Fischetti, a mother of two who works for the Port Washington School District, was arraigned on charges of rape and sodomy for allegedly having sexual intercourse with the teenager March 2.  The victim was not a student, but an acquaintance of the family.  Fischetti was arraigned and was released on $5,000 bail.  The judge issued an order of protection.

Fischetti was sentenced yesterday to 60 days in jail and 10 years of probation.
