A Boardman man will be sentenced after a jury found him guilty Monday of sex crimes and possessing child pornography.
Prosecutors said 50-year-old Robert Boyd raped a 17-year-old girl, had sexual contact with a 14-year-old victim and provided a 16-year-old with sexually related movies.
Police said the crimes took place in March, April and May of 2017.
Boyd was found guilty on all charges except one misdemeanor charge.
Boardman police investigators raided Boyd’s home on Lockwood Boulevard in May of 2017 after a juvenile female provided information to a school resource

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Strick Strickland faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted on 11 felony counts, which include criminal sexual conduct and human trafficking.
Strickland is scheduled to appear Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, in 8th District Court in front of Judge Tiffany Ankley.
Authorities accuse Strickland and his wife of using their positions within the church and Kalamazoo Public Schools to coerce four teen boys into sex.
Prosecutors said Strickland used his position of power to find the boys.
Strickland first appeared in front of a judge in September.

A former Louisiana judge was sentenced to 14 years in prison Monday after he was convicted of four sex crimes against underage teenage friends of his daughters last month.

During the five-day trial, held in the same courtroom where he once presided as judge, multiple victims testified that Elzey “Jeff” Perilloux touched them inappropriately.
Prosecutors said that Perrilloux groomed the girls, who were ages 14, 15, and 17 when the crimes took place.
“Sex offenses against children are the most serious of crimes which cause permanent psychological harm,”

A criminal defense attorney and former sex crimes prosecutor has been indicted on a prostitution charge in Tarrant County, according to court records.
Colin McLaughlin is accused of having paid for sex with a woman who was his client in January 2019.
A Tarrant County grand jury returned the direct indictment on Sept. 23, charging McLaughlin, 38, of Colleyville, with the misdemeanor.
The indictment accused McLaughlin of knowingly offering to pay another for the purpose of engaging in a sexual conduct.
The alleged incident occurred in Grapevine.

MASON, Ohio (FOX19) – The former youth football coach facing a felony rape charge and more turned himself in on Tuesday.

Eric Schmidt is accused of having sexual contact with two girls, who were both under the age of 13 when the crimes happened, according to Prosecutor David Fornshell.

The two victims were described as “acquaintances” of Schmidt and his family, the prosecutor explained.

These crimes happened in April of 2015 and September of 2019 in Mason, Fornshell said.

A Houma man was arrested for sex crimes committed for over 20 years involving victims in Terrebonne and Lafourche, authorities said.
David Todd, 61, is charged with molestation of a juvenile in Terrebonne and aggravated crimes against nature, first-degree rape and indecent behavior with a juvenile, aggravated incest, aggravated rape and child molestation in Lafourche, authorities said.
