Woman accused of dismembering man after sex to stand trial

Taylor Schabusiness was in court Thursday for a preliminary hearing.

She faces one count each of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse and third-degree sexual assault.

Shad Thyrion was found dismembered Feb. 22 in a Green Bay home.

According to a criminal complaint, Schabusiness told investigators she and the victim were using drugs, including meth, and engaging in sex when she strangled Thyrion.

She then dismembered his body and placed body parts in various locations in the home and a vehicle, the criminal complaint states.

Convicted child sex offender and actor granted parole, will be deported to UK

MEG HILL

Actor and convicted child sex offender Robert Hughes has been granted parole in Australia and will be deported to the UK.

Hughes, 73, was imprisoned in 2014 after being found guilty of 10 sexual and indecent assault offences committed between 1984 and 1990.

He will be deported to the UK on his release from prison as he is a non-lawful citizen in Australia, having renounced his Australian citizenship in 2020.

Hughes starred on the Australian sitcom Hey Dad!, which aired from 1987 to 1994.

Vandalia man charged with sodomy of 11-year-old

A Vandalia man is charged with sodomy on an 11-year-old boy at a residence in Mexico in August of 2021.

According to court documents, 21-year-old Dakotah Schneider is charged with Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy after the August 8, 2021 incident.

Police say on that date, officers were called to an address in Mexico where they spoke to a person identified as JH, who said she walked in on Schneider and the 11-year-old victim in the laundry room of her house.  According to JH, the victim was leaned over the washing

Police: Man accused of rape at St. Mary’s Park is in custody

The NYPD has arrested the man in connection to the St. Mary’s Park rape incident earlier this week.

Police arrested Christopher Martinez, 19, of the Bronx. Officers say Martinez waited outside the home of a 38-year-old woman around 8:30 a.m. Once she exited her home, Martinez allegedly took out a knife and demanded she follow him, forced her inside St. Mary’s Park, raped her and stole her debit card.

Martinez is being charged with rape, robbery, criminal sex act and forcible touching.

Police: Man exposes himself to 12-year-old girl on public Bronx street

The NYPD is searching for a man they say exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl Wednesday morning.

Police say a man allegedly followed a 12-year-old girl in the East 169th Street area at around 7 a.m., exposed his private area while offering the girl money in an attempt to lure her.

The victim fled and the suspect continued to follow her. No injuries were reported.

Project to collect DNA samples from sex offenders done

CENTRALIA — In an announcement on Tuesday, Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced the completion of one phase of his office’s “lawfully owed DNA project,” an effort to collect DNA samples from registered sex offenders from whom a required DNA sample had never been collected.

The successful completion of the project has resulted in 372 DNA samples being added to the Combined DNA Index System, CODIS, a national DNA database.
