Wallace Bibbs, a 60 year old church deacon and retired school principal, had an argument with his 13 year old

A proposal from the Virginia Sentencing Commission would adjust sentences for sex offenders according to a point scale based on factors such as education, age and where the original crime took place. According to the Associated Press, it would quadruple the maximum recommended sentence for sex offenders who score poorly and recommend incarceration for some less serious offenders who likely would not go to prison under current guidelines.
Dennis Cribari, 46, a former high-profile Denver police lieutenant has pleaded guilty to aggravated incest and sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust. He was free on $25,000 bail since his arrest last July but was ordered jailed immediately and held without bond pending his sentencing August 15th. He faces up to 32 years in prison.
