FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man wanted on sex charges dating to 2012 was in jail in Cumberland County Monday after an arrest that included law enforcement officers and bounty hunters from two counties.
Vinton John Huntley Nation, 30, is charged with statutory rape, indecent liberties with a child and sexual battery along with drug and fraud charges.

An Alabama evangelist pleaded guilty this morning in an Etowah County courtroom to 28 counts of sexual abuse involving six victims.
Paul Acton Bowen, charged in both Jefferson County and Etowah counties, was facing criminal charges, including enticing a child for sexual act, sodomy, traveling to meet a child for sexual act and sexual abuse involving six different victims between the ages of 13 and 16.
He was first arrested by Hoover police in April 2018 and has remained jailed since then.

HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) — A Salem, West Virginia, man is facing over 300 counts of sex crime charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted an underage family member since 2015.
According to the criminal complaint, state troopers received a complaint from the 13-year-old victim on Monday. The victim said that 48-year-old James Cain had sexually assaulted her several times every week since 2015.

A woman has admitted to sexually abusing a young girl in livestreamed videos for three years, as UK police warn they are seeing an increase in cyber-enabled offences against children.
Christine Callaghan, 33 from Bexhill-on-Sea in East Sussex, was paid £2,285 by Dean Petley, 30, to carry out the abuse on Skype. She admitted four charges at Isleworth Crown Court on Friday.
Petley, an automotive engineer from Leamington Spa, admitted 11 charges last month and was jailed at the same hearing for eight years.

After asking the public to voice their opinion on placement of a convicted sexual predator, the Merced County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday that he will not be released into Merced County.
The Superior Court of Ventura County has withdrawn its previous finding of ‘extraordinary circumstances’ governing the placement of Ross Wollschlager, according to a Merced County District Attorney’s Office news release.

A convicted rapist sexually assaulted a five-year-old girl on a train in front of her mother while travelling home from prison.
Darren Rothwell, 42, committed the attack just hours after being released from HMP Forest Bank, in Salford, where he had been serving a sentence for harassment and assault.
