GENESEE COUNTY, MI — The Upper Peninsula of Michigan can “sleep a little safer” knowing a new human oppression strike team–based off of a similar team in Genesee County — has launched above the bridge, Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson said.

AYNOR, S.C. (WBTW) – An Aynor is facing 35 charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors.
Daniel Bullins, 23, of Aynor, S.C., was arrested on Wednesday by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigators with the Horry County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say Bullins produced and possessed files of child sexual abuse material. He is also charged with 10 counts of Voyeurism. Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which led them to Bullins.

Archbishop of Cologne Cardinal Rainer Maria Woelki said he bore some responsibility for the sexual abuse scandal that has rocked the German Catholic Church and that there was an effort in the Cologne diocese to cover up cases of sexual abuse. HARRISBURG — Survivors of child sexual abuse will have to wait until at least 2023 for the public to consider whether to grant them a special window to sue their perpetrators over conduct that happened many years ago and was, in many cases, systematically covered up.

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A Boise man was convicted by a jury Friday on multiple counts of lewd conduct and sexual abuse of a child charges.
The jury found 53-year-old Kevin Wheeler guilty of five counts of lewd conduct with a minor under 16 and two counts of sexual abuse of a minor under 16. Wheeler was arrested in January on a warrant for sexually abusing a child from 2007 to 2016.
Following the three-day jury trial, Wheeler now faces multiple life sentences in prison following his conviction.
