SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A Springfield man accused in a manslaughter case is now charged with committing sex crimes.
Austin Larue is accused of causing a crash that killed Breanna Thomas, nearly 3 years ago.
He’s been out on bond and on supervised probation for a vehicle tampering charge out of St. Clair County until recently.
He’s back in the Greene County Jail. His bond was increased to half a million dollars.

New disturbing details have emerged in the case of the Beaufort County, South Carolina firefighter who is still wanted for multiple child sex crimes and was also accused in multiple lawsuits of using a chokehold on Trey Pringle before he died in police custody in 2018.
A week after arrest warrants were issued, Beaufort Police officials are still searching for Brandon Corey Thomsen, 46, who is wanted for criminal solicitation of a minor and dissemination of obscene materiel to a person under 18.

A Santa Maria man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of child sex crimes following a monthslong investigation by police detectives.
Joel McClain, 30, was arrested on a warrant shortly after 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of North Railroad Avenue and Rancho Verde, according to Santa Maria Police Sgt. Andy Magallon.
Detectives began investigating McClain in June after receiving information that he possessed child pornography, which led to multiple search warrants that were conducted at his residence, located in the 2000 block of Fiesta Way, according to arrest records.

A Pennsylvania man who pleaded guilty to sex-related charges involving a 16-year-old girl from Martinsville was sentenced to 35 years in prison Monday during an emotional court hearing when his mother pleaded for leniency.

Cody Daniel Moore, 28, of Carlisle, Pa., appeared before Martinsville Circuit Court Judge G. Carter Greer handcuffed, shackled and wearing an orange inmate suit, to face sentencing on a negotiated plea.

“So this will be a guilty plea,” Greer said.

MCDOWELL COUNTY, NC (WSPA) – McDowell County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested a man on several child sex crimes after investigating a tip that came into the sheriff’s office.
According to a news release, detectives investigated the anonymous tip and they determined that Jonathon Leslie Carver, 25, of Nebo, had reportedly had inappropriate sexual contact with an 8-month-old boy and a 2-year-old girl.
The sheriff’s office said the offenses reportedly happened over the past six months and that Carver is acquainted with the victims.
