BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – A Barbour County man has been charged after arranging a ride to Upshur County for sex with a minor.

On June 1, a man arranged to meet with an individual he presumed to be a 14-year-old girl at a location in Upshur County, according to a criminal complaint.

The man, identified as Robert Shahan, 36, of Belington, “described sexual acts he wanted to perform” with the individual he assumed to be a 14-year-old female, and also sent explicit photos of himself, officers with the Buckhannon Police Department

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A 67-year-old Florence man was among 11 people arrested in a recent multi-agency online sting operation aimed at potential child sexual predators, authorities said.

Robert Mitchum Nichols was charged with criminal solicitation of a minor and second-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct with a minor, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, which conducted the investigation along with the Lexington Police Department, the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office and numerous other law-enforcement agencies from across the state.

A Queens man is under arrest after being accused of raping a 13-year-old girl he met on Snapchat.

Police officials say 30-year-old Andrew Ramsaroop met the teen at Smith Haven Mall back on May 13.

Detectives say Ramsaroop tried to get the teen and her friend into his car, but they refused.

Later in the day, police say Ramsaroop met the teen at a Hauppauge park and raped her. The park is part of the Renaissance Hills apartment complex.

OPELIKA, Ala. (WRBL) – An Opelika Middle School teacher has been arrested in connection a sex crimes investigation.

According to officials with the Opelika Police Department, Caleb Daniel Fuller, age 36, has been arrested and charged with Electronic Solicitation of a Child, Sexual Contact with a Student, and Luring a Child Someplace in Order to Perform or To Propose Sexual Acts.

Police said Fuller was arrested on April 28, 2022. He has been placed on administrative leave.
