BURBANK, IL — A 22-year-old man recently paroled from the Illinois Department of Corrections has been charged in the sexual assault of a St. Laurence High School student. Marquise Myles, of Chicago, is facing aggravated criminal sexual assault, aggravated robbery and kidnapping all felonies. Myles was taken into custody at work, Burbank police said in a news release.

An Oxnard man was convicted of multiple sex acts against juvenile family members, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.

ASHEVILLE — A man convicted of a child sex offense was arrested for trespassing at the North Carolina Mountain State Fair on Sept. 7, according to police records.

James Allen Rice, Jr., 38, of Leicester has been charged with felony sex offender on child premises, warrants say.

Rice was convicted of taking indecent liberties with a minor in 2001, according to the North Carolina Sex Offender Registry. Rice was 20 at the time of the offense, and the victim was under 15.
