A quick-thinking college student scared off a sexual deviant who broke into her New York dorm and exposed himself to her by pretending she had a developmental disorder, prosecutors say.

Ariel Caro, 32, was sentenced Tuesday to two and a half years in state prison on charges of first degree attempted sex abuse and second degree attempted burglary as a sexually motivated crime for the incident last year at Pace University’s Pleasantville campus.

VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) – A professional photographer pleaded guilty Thursday to sexually assaulting teenage girls during modeling sessions in Carlsbad.

Robert Koester, 52, originally pleaded not guilty to 23 felony charges late last year , but he reached a plea agreement.

He now faces 25 years in state prison for his crimes against four teenage girls, which include rape, possession and production of child porn, and sexual battery.

Some of the survivors of Koester’s crimes sat in the Vista courtroom beside their families as he pleaded guilty behind a glass window.

A fugitive who was on America’s Most Wanted list for more than 10 years – and had escaped custody twice – over kidnapping and rape allegations involving a Detroit girl was caught in Mexico this week, authorities said Thursday.

A Pennsylvania man was reportedly charged last week with sexually assaulting one of his bride-to-be’s bridesmaids just two days before the scheduled wedding.

The alleged crime reportedly stopped when the bride-to-be entered the room, saw what was happening and started a physical fight with the man.

MELBOURNE (Reuters) – Prosecutors have urged Australia’s High Court to refuse to hear a final appeal by former Vatican treasurer George Pell against his convictions for sexually abusing two 13-year-old boys in the late 1990s.

In opposing arguments put by Pell’s lawyers to Australia’s highest court, prosecutors said there was no error in the approach taken by the Victorian state Court of Appeal.

Twelve men were arrested in connection to a string of alleged statutory rapes of two underage girls that occurred at or near Jacksonville State University in Alabama, according to authorities and the university.

Nine men between the ages of 18 and 22 were first arrested over two days in mid-September, according to the Gadsden Times. The two latest arrests occurred Monday and brought the total number of men charged to 12.

Several of the men arrested are students at the university in Jacksonville, which is about 75 miles northwest
