POLICE IN SALISBURY CHARGE TWO WITH SEX CRIMES INVOLVING CHILDREN

SALISBURY, N.C. (WBTV) – Two men have been recently charged by Salisbury Police with sex crimes involving children.
On Friday, police charged Clayton J. Briggs, 67, with three counts of statutory rape/sex offense and four counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor.
The charges stemmed from an investigation at the Rowan Sheriff’s Office that began on December 5. Arrest warrants were issued on Thursday of last week following extensive interviews, forensic interviews, and consultation with the Rowan District Attorney’s Office.
