RALEIGH (WTVD) — With over a million visitors expected, the N.C. State Fair is the state’s largest annual event. So, tracking a random fair-goer who may be on the state’s sex offender registry seems like finding a needle in a haystack.

A registered sex offender from Rocky Mount was caught at the NC State Fair on Monday.

Kymari Garrett, 24, is charged with being a sex offender unlawfully on a premise with children.

According to the arrest warrant, Garrett was previously charged with sexual battery where the victim was

Police and the Department of Homeland Security launched an early-morning raid Monday on a family-run day care in the Miami-Dade County area as part of a child pornography investigation.
Little Seeds Academy, located about two miles south of Florida International University, was raided before dawn, WSVN reported. A man is accused of trying to lure who he thought was a 15-year-old boy to a meeting place, butit was actually an undercover detective, according to the McDowell County Sheriff’sOffice.

Alvin Lewis Pack, 33, of Mount Hebron Road in Old Fort is charged with solicitation by computer,sex offender registry violation (failure to disclose online identifiers) and first-degree forciblesex offense.

Deputies say Pack, a registered sex offender, had multiple social media accounts and opened themwith email addresses he had not disclosed to authorities, which is a violation of the stateregistry law.
