ELMONT MAN CHARGED IN ONLINE SEX STING
Abner Melendez, a 34 year old Elmont man, was arrested and charged with six counts of first degree attempted disseminating indecent material to minors, a felony. Melendez, of 287 Meacham Avenue, chatted explicitly online about sex and tried to set up a meeting with who he thought was a 14 year old girl but was actually an undercover investigator for the Nassau district attorney's office. He was released Thursday on $10,000 bond.
