FUGITIVE WANTED IN RAPE, MURDER CAUGHT

Stanley Osbourne, a 44 year old Long Island fugitive, wanted for raping his stepdaughter and attempting to kill his wife, was finally captured in Canada after more than four years on the run.  Osbourne, of Amityville, was caught last September 11 in Toronto.  Osbourne had raped his 16 year old stepdaughter in March 2001, and then tried to kill his wife, Bonita, five months later by luring her to Kings Point, L.I., with promises he would see a marriage counselor.  After his gun misfired, he then beat her so badly, she was left with a fractured skull and lost a huge amount of blood.  She dragged herself to a nearby road to flag down help.  Osbourne fled in a car.  He has been charged with rape, assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.  More charges are pending.  He is now awaiting transfer to Long Island.  Osbourne was wanted in Nassau and Suffolk counties.
