KIDDIE PORN CELLS ON N.Y. CAMPUSES

According to a company that monitors peer-to-peer, or P2P, servers, students at New York colleges are taking advantage of popular file-sharing programs to download child pornography from the Internet.  The worst offenders were New York University, SUNY Stony Brook and SUNY Buffalo, all with more than 35 users.  Other schools where people were found sharing some sort of child pornography were SUNY Albany, Columbia, Cornell, Alfred University and Fashion Institute of Technology.  On the eve of a Senate judiciary committee hearing tomorrow into kiddie porn and Internet practices, MediaDefender surveyed New York colleges using key words and found wide-spread sharing of child pornography.
