RAPE, KIDNAPPING CHARGES FILED AGAINST SEX OFFENDER

George Lynn Perez, a 30 year old Level 3 registered sex offender on parole, has been charged with kidnapping, rape and being a habitual offender.  Perez, a parking lot sweeper who lives at 14388 Pleasant Ridge Road, is to be arraigned March 5 and remains in jail on $500,000 bond.  He was arrested on January 25 after a 10 year old girl gave a detailed description of a man grabbing her, dragging her behind a storage building and molesting her, all on school property, a little after 7 a.m.  Perez was convicted in 2005 of sexual indecency with a 10 year old child.  He's also been convicted twice of indecent exposure, financial identity fraud, residential burglary and first degree sexual abuse.
