SUFFOLK COPS SEEK ABDUCTION SUSPECT

A 13 year old West Babylon Junior High School student was accosted at Quentin Street and Weber Avenue about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.  A man in a ski mask pulled alongside the teenager and told her to get over here.  When she started walking away the van backed up and the man tried pulling her through the back doors and into the vehicle.  She struggled and got away unharmed.  The police are asking the public to help find the driver of the gray work-type truck, with no rear side windows, and with a blanket covering on the floor, held down by boards along the sides of the cargo area and the rear doors were scratched, used in the incident.  The man is described as slender, about 5'8 tall, hazel eyes, wearing jeans and a dark-blue windbreaker, having a deep voice, and the girl added that she thought the man had what appeared to be a pocketknife in his hand.  Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 631-854-8152 or Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
