TEEN HELD IN SEXUAL ABUSE OF TEAMMATE (Soccer season canceled at upstate high school)
Matt Crew, a 17 year old student was in the Allegany County Jail yesterday, accused of sexually abusing a younger 14 year old soccer teammate. The criminal charges followed the suspension of four students from Friendship Central School last week and a decision by school officials to end the team's soccer season. Crew was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail on charges of felony sexual abuse and second degree harassment. The incident began with a verbal altercation between the victim and Crew and ended with three players holding the younger boy down while the older teammate assaulted him. Other teammates in the locker room did nothing to stop the attack.
