TEENAGER CHARGED IN SODOMY

John Diaz, a 16 year old Georgia teenager, was arrested Friday while visiting family in Oceanside.  He has been charged as an adult with sodomy.  He allegedly performed a sex act on his 5-year-old cousin in December.  He was arraigned and ordered held at the Nassau jail on $50,000 cash bail.  The girl told her mother about the sodomy a few days after Diaz went back to Georgia and her parents contacted police who started an investigation several weeks ago.  When Diaz flew back to New York to visit the relatives again, he was arrested at their home.
