Brandon Scott Lavergne, a 33 year old registered sex offender, has been booked on a chargeof first degree murder and aggravated kidnapping in connection with the disappearance last May ofMickey Shunick, a Louisiana college student who went missing May 19.  Lavergne was convictedin 2000 of aggravated oral sexual battery.  He was released in 2008.

Gary Baker, a 49 year old Sacramento police officer, was arrested in connection to sexuallyassaulting an elderly woman multiple times while off duty.  He was arrested and charged withrape, assault with intent to commit rape, forcible oral copulation (two counts), attempted forcibleoral copulation, and sexual battery.  Baker is accused of sexually assaulting a 76 year oldwoman on two different incidents and attempting to sexually assault the woman a third time.

Ke Neng Yang, 44, also known as Jimmy, turned himself in to Milpitas Police June 6 oncharges he sexually assault a child last year.  Milpitas police officers received a reportlast August that Yang may have sexually assault an 11 year old girl at Happy 8 Health Center. Yang owns the business and also works there a masseuse.  The alleged incident occurred whenYang was giving the victim a massage there.

Mathy Ray Hardy, a 48 year old Roanoke Rapids man, is facing charges after a reported sexualassault.  A woman reported she was walking down a street in the early morning hours Wednesdaywhen she was approached by a male, who then pushed her into a vacant residence where the victim wassexually assaulted. Hardy was arrested and charged with second degree rape and assault on a female.
