Twomey has also been charged with molesting a man, months after he was accused of sexually abusing the boy.  Twomey was arrested and faces charges of forcible touching and third-degree sexual abuse, both misdemeanors.  

According to a criminal complaint, Twomey fondled the man and put his tongue in the mouth of the victim.  If found guilty, he faces up to a year in jail.

Japan should ban possession of child pornography and crack down on animated films, comic books and computer games that show children being sexually exploited, UNICEF said yesterday.  The country’s 1999 child pornography law suffers from serious loopholes that hobble law enforcement and threaten children.

The South Huntington town web site’s sex offender locator map was used to smoke out six level 2 and level 3 sexual predators living in sensitive areas, a zone where sex offenders are restricted from living.  The sex offender legislation passed by the town last year prohibits level 2 and 3 sex offenders from living within 1,320 feet of a school, park, day care center, playground or day camp, churches, synagogues and mosques.

The 14 year old Maryland girl whose abandoned baby girl was left at a Queens firehouse told detectives she had sex with the father while in New York, an admission that will likely result in statutory rape charges against him.  The father, Carlos Rodas, 27, of the Bronx, has been missing since February 28, the day his 6 month old daughter, Daniella Perez, was turned over to firefighters at a Corona firehouse by a cabbie who claimed a passenger had abandoned the child in his car.  The cabbie admitted the

Romal Roberts, 18, and two 16 year old boys, were charged with aggravated sexual assault, that charge involves penetration, in an 18-count indictment, for the sexual assault of a 16 year old special-education student in a northern New Jersey home.  The boys compelled the girl to perform sex acts on them.  The three then used force to assault her.  Roberts is being held at the Essex County Jail on $500,000 bail.  One 16 year old was arrested and the other surrendered.
