GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – 22 men are facing charges for sex crimes, including the son of an Ocala city council member.

Over the course of six days, undercover deputies from Marion County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies posed as teenagers online.

19 men traveled to locations around the county thinking they were meeting a child between the ages of 12 and 16 for sex.

Three more men were arrested on warrants for sending sexual images to people they thought were children.

The Arizona Supreme Court has issued an execution warrant for death row inmate Clarence Dixon.

The court on Tuesday set a May 11 execution date for 65-year-old Dixon, who was sentenced to death for the killing of 21-year-old Arizona State University student Deana Bowdoin.

Bowdoin had been raped, strangled and stabbed to death in her Tempe apartment in January 1978, prosecutors said.

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Officials are looking to identify a man accused of following and then groping a woman on a Manhattan subway train over the weekend, according to the NYPD.

The incident happened at approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, inside the Herald Square subway station at the corner of 34th Street and 6th Avenue.

A 26-year-old woman was standing on the southbound Q train platform when she was approached by the suspect, authorities said.

A Midwood man has been charged with sexual exploitation of children after allegedly targeting minors via Skype, the NYPD says.

Court documents reveal that 49-year-old Steven Labianca solicited sexually explicit images and video from kids as young as 13 from April 2017 through Feb. 2021. Authorities say he developed a relationship with his victims first, then enticed them to take the photos for his own personal gratification.

If convicted, Labianca faces a minimum of 15 years behind bars.

Former Terrebonne High School Athletic Director Joseph Clement has pleaded guilty to child sex crimes after being accused of sexually abusing students on school grounds.

Clement, 61, avoided jailtime by pleading guilty Thursday to three counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile, prosecutors said.

After Clement entered his pleas, state District Judge David Arceneaux gave him a suspended seven-year sentence on each count and ordered him to serve three years of supervised probation.

Clement must also register as a sex offender, court records show.
