Two-time MLB All-Star Felipe Vazquez was convicted of statutory sexual assault, sexual abuse of children and child pornography and other charges in Pennsylvania on Thursday.
Vazquez, who played for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2016 until his arrest in 2019, was found guilty in a Westmoreland County courtroom on 15 counts, according to ESPN. He was found not guilty on 10 counts of unlawful contact or communication with a minor.

A man from Pinebluff is behind bars under a $350,000 secured bond charged with multiple sex crimes involving children.
A multi-agency investigation led to the arrest of Anthony Dimattia, 19, according to a news advisory from the Moore County Sheriff’s Department.

A Wyoming Republican mounting a primary challenge to Rep. Liz Cheney said Thursday that he impregnated a 14-year-old girl when he was 18, and that she had a baby, the Casper Star Tribune reported.

A Hillsboro man was found guilty of three felony sex crimes in Linn County Circuit Court Wednesday.
Brandon Dale Morgan, 45, was found guilty by a jury on two counts of first-degree sodomy of a person under the age of 12 and an additional count of attempted first-degree sexual abuse of the same person. Judge Brendan Kane presided over the trial, held at the Linn County Fairgrounds.
Morgan’s sentencing is scheduled for June 1.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.

A 34-year old man accused of raping two children in Washington state in January was arrested this week on a boat on which he was living in Lee County, Florida.
The man, who was not named by police, was arrested Sunday by U.S. Marshals and Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies, according to police in Edmonds, Washington. Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Liberty County – A Harris County Precinct 1 Deputy who died by suicide was also being investigated for several allegations of sexual abuse involving minors, according to the Alvin Police Department.
