Bradley Kurtzberg, 33, a divorce attorney from Melville, was arrested at a mall in Paramus, New Jersey where he had allegedly arranged to meet 15 year old April for a sexual encounter.  April was not a 15 year old, she was a member of an FBI task force whose duties include trolling cyberspace for sexual predators.  He told April that he would be gentle and would bring protection for her first time.  He pleaded guilty last year to one count of transporting child pornography and has been sentenced to 22

Kevin Mahoney, a former upstate New Yorker said yesterday he was infuriated that Monsignor William White, 69, who molested him more than 25 years ago, remained an active clergyman until last month, nearly five years after he reported the abuse to church authorities.  White resigned after the president of the St. Vincent De Paul Regional Seminary, in Boynton, Florida, learned that the Archdiocese of New York in 1997 gave Mahoney $100,000 to keep the abuse charge quiet.  White admitted making sexual advances to his 17 year old former high school

Bruce Cummings, a 16 year old Greenwich High School student, has been arrested and charged with raping a female classmate at the school.  He was charged Monday with first-degree sexual assault after a female classmate told police he raped her inside his sport utility vehicle during a break from classes.  He invited the 16 year old girl to leave campus and go to a local restaurant but instead drove his vehicle to a nearby driveway and committed the rape.  He was released on $100,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment

Marcus Alexander, a 24 year old beefy 6-footer who has been undergoing sex-hormone therapy to become a woman, is charged with sexual abuse of a 4 year old girl for whom he had been babysitting.  The charge carries a penalty of five years to life in jail.  Alexander came to court dressed in a black ribbed skirt, with freshly tweezed eyebrows, manicured nails and a stubbly 5 o’clock shadow.  He had received permission last month from Houston judge Denise Collins to stand trial dressed as a woman.  Prosecutor Cary Hart

Twenty years before he was drummed out of the priesthood for molesting boy, the Rev. Brian McKeon told the pastor of his first church that he had acted inappropriately with a teenager.  Nothing, however, was done.  McKeon’s supervisor at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in East Northport, Msgr. Edward Donnelly said, I thought it was just a one-time thing.  Donnelly talked with the boy, but never asked him or McKeon what actually happened.  I didn’t want to know, he said, adding that such things can run the gamut.

Ronald Bruce Perry, a 35 year old Valley man, was arrested Friday morning on charges of sexual abuse first degree, torture, and the willful abuse of a child under 18 years of age.  The arrest follows a report of incidents that occurred in February and March the involved an 8 year old child.
