A 48 year old Pennsylvania mother of two is accused of arranging for James Anthony Nerone, Jr., a 53 year old family friend from Pittsburgh, to rape her 19 year old daughter at knifepoint while she watched from another room.  The mother and Nerone went shopping the day before the attack for a cap, gloves and masking tape.  Around 10:30 p.m. on February 4th, she invited Nerone home while her daughter slept and then hid in the bathroom.

Eight teenage boys are being held in connection with the sexual assault of a 14 year old girl.  Four of them face possible rape charges and the other four are suspected of complicity and sexual exploitation.  The boys who are ages 15 to 16 will be tried as adults.  A ninth boy who is under 15 was released into the custody of social workers.  The girl said she was dragged into an outdoor parking area near her home and sexually assaulted when she and her friend were on their way

Jason Wagner, 24, is accused of abducting a 3 year old girl and keeping her in an attic.  He pleaded guilty today to charges that included kidnapping and rape.  He faces a maximum sentence of 45 years to life in prison for the abduction in April 1999.  He could have been sentenced to life in prison without parole on charges including kidnapping, assault, rape and attempted murder if he was convicted at a trial.  According to the New York Times, four days after she vanished, a police detective found her

Lawrence Winford Kilbourn, 43, pleased guilty in federal court to receiving child pornography on his computer.  The former Methodist minister faces up to 15 years in prison.  His 17-year-old daughter notified authorities after she found in his church-owned home a videotape of a man fondling a young child.  She feared the man in the tape was her father.  According to the Associated Press, more than 200 videotapes and 15,000 computer files were seized from his home.  He also faces state charges of sexual battery on a child under age 16

Ellef J. Ellefson, 95, who is likely the oldest prisoner in the United States, was ordered committed indefinitely to a mental hospital for sexual offenders for convictions dating back half a century for child molestation.  Ellefson has been convicted of six sex offenses against children since 1937.  Ellefson was ordered held under the state’s sexual predator law after completing a sentence in July for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old while on probation for another sexual offense.
