CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — A Harvard University professor has ignited an international uproar and faces mounting scrutiny for alleging that Korean women who were kept as sex slaves in wartime Japan had actually chosen to work as prostitutes.
In a recent academic paper, J. Mark Ramseyer rejected a wide body of research finding that Japan’s so-called “comfort women” were forced to work at military brothels during World War II. Ramseyer instead argued that the women willingly entered into contracts as sex workers.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – U.S. prosecutors on Monday expanded their criminal case against Ghislaine Maxwell, saying the British socialite helped procure a fourth underage girl for the late financier Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse.
An amended indictment against Maxwell now covers alleged crimes stretching from 1994 to 2004 in New York and Florida, including accusations that she paid the girl, known as Minor Victim-4, hundreds of dollars for each sexual act with Epstein.
The girl was 14 when the grooming began, the indictment said.

FEDS FILE NEW SEX CRIMES CHARGES AGAINST MOORHEAD MAN

FARGO (KVRR) – A Moorhead man who had been facing sex crime-related charges in Fargo is now facing federal charges.
Forty-six-year-old James Van Raden is charged in U.S. District Court with coercion and enticement.
Federal court documents say in December, 2019, Van Raden responded to an ad from an undercover West Fargo police detective who acted as a father looking for a tutor for his 10-year-old daughter.
Van Raden said he had a “very taboo mind” and admitted to liking bestiality and underage children.

POOLE MAN JAILED AFTER BEING FOUND GUILTY OF CHILD SEX CRIMES

A MAN has been jailed after being found guilty of child sex offences.
Stephen David Camp was convicted of two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13 and assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
The verdict from the jury, which related to offences in 2013 and 2014, came after a trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.
On Friday, April 9, at the same court, Judge Robert Pawson jailed Camp, 66 and of Whatleigh Close, Poole, for eight years, with a further one year on licence.
