Tae Kwon Do teacher, Anthony Massay, 42, has been jailed for 10 years at Cardiff Crown Court for sex assaults on his pupils. The former British martial arts champion carried out sex attacks on two schoolgirls over a five year period between 1986 and 1991. He was found guilty of one charge of rape, eight indecent assaults, three charges of under-age sexual intercourse, three counts of actual bodily harm and one of a serious sexual offence. He was ordered to register as a sex offender upon his release from prison.

Cecil Alves, 20, was convicted of first-degree murder and rape in the death of 16 year old Michelle Donnelly. Michelle was slain on April 26th, 1998. Alves was found guilty of the highest charge against him and also of first-degree rape. The first-degree murder conviction carries a

A recent high-risk sex offender notification implemented in our community provides us knowledgeof one individual and offers us the opportunity to take necessary safeguards for ourselves and ourchildren but should by no means lead us to believe that if a particular registered sex offender isnot residing here, our children would be safe from those who commit sex crimes against them. The trial of Marcel Lalonde, 50, is being delayed. He is charged with being part of a pedophile ring and abusing seven boys more than 20 years ago. The complainants are accusing other prominent men of sexual abuse and the connection between the cases is causing the delay. Lalonde’s lawyer is requesting more information from the police officer who led the case regarding statements the complainants made about the other men charged.
