Elizabeth Shoaf, the 14 year old girl missing for more than a week before summoning help bysending a text message from the underground bunker where she was being held captive, is now restingand recovering from her ordeal. Vinson Filyaw, 36, surrendered Sunday to police as he walked alongInterstate 20 near Columbia, about five miles from where investigators found the teen a dayearlier. Filyaw was being held at the Kershaw County jail. Shoaf was rescued over the weekend aftershe sent her mother a message with Filyaw's phone while he was asleep.

Filyaw, who already was wanted for an alleged sex crime against a 12 year old girl, will becharged with kidnapping, possession of an incendiary device and impersonating an officer.
