MAMARONECK, Westchester County (WABC) — The pastor at a Westchester County church is on administrative leave after sex abuse allegations from decades ago surfaced last week.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan sent a letter to parishioners at St. Vito – Most Holy Trinity parish in Mamaroneck to inform them of the accusations against Monsignor James White.

The alleged abuse was revealed under New York’s Child Victim’s Act, which went into effect on August 14 and lifted for one year the statute of limitations on civil cases for child victims.

Berlin, Germany (CNN)A court in Germany has sentenced two men to prison over one of the worst child sex abuse cases in the country’s post-war history.
The Detmold district court convicted the two men of sexually abusing dozens of young girls and boys between three and 14 years old and for producing child pornography in over 450 cases.

A science teacher had sex with a pupil in the toilet of an aeroplane while they were returning from a school trip, a court has heard.

Eleanor Wilson, who was 26 at the time, is accused of fondling the 16-year-old boy as they flew back to Heathrow, before beckoning him to the aircraft’s loo where she is alleged to have performed a sex act on him.

FOLEY, Ala. (WALA) — Investigators and sex offender compliance deputies arrested Bobby Ricky Bible, 57, charging him with several offenses related to his sex offender status in Alabama.
According to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Bible was found to be non-compliant with Alabama’s sex offender registration and community notification act. Jeaneth Acosta, 44, was charged with Trafficking of Persons after police say she promised to help asylum seekers and then tried to force them into sex work.

On August 21, an attorney representing one of Acosta’s victims contacted police.

At the attorney’s office, the 38-year-old woman told police that she lived in Honduras and that Acosta told her she could help her get into the United States, according to an arrest affidavit.
