At least one child is sexually abused by a school employee every day in New York City schools and one-third of the employees accused of sexual abuse are repeat offenders who have already been cited for inappropriate behavior by school officials.  A Post investigation found that more than 60 percent of employees accused of sexual abuse, mostly tenured teachers, were transferred to desk jobs at district offices located inside schools.  Forty percent of those transferred suspects were repeat offenders.  A board source said it takes an average of 20 months

James E. Taylor, a 35 year old corrections officer and Little League baseball coach, is accused of abducting, sexually assaulting and attempting to kill an 8 year old girl.  He surrendered to police and was extradited from Illinois.  His wife, Colette, had called authorities to report her husband missing.  She told officers she and Taylor had argued over his resemblance to a police sketch of the suspect in the attack and similarities between their car and the description of the vehicle the suspect was driving.  It was the publicity surrounding

Dozens of Colorado sex offenders, ranging from convicted rapists to child molesters, were given $100 and released from prison this week after the state’s high Court ruled they were mistakenly held for parole violations.  

In June, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled state legislators enacted confusing laws in the 1990s, eliminating or curtailing parole supervision for sex offenders who committed crimes between 1993 and 1998.  Heidi Hayes, spokeswoman for the Colorado Department of Corrections said, If there is no parole, then there is no parole violation.  We give them $100

Victor Arias, a 33 year old convicted sex offender, picked the wrong house to break into when he stole a bike from the home of one of the city’s top prosecutors.  Arias is wanted for the rapes of an 11-year-old girl and a 35-year-old woman.  He stole a bicycle from the Queens home of Gregory Lasak, the DA’s executive assistant for major crimes, early Sunday morning.  Lasak was awakened by his barking dog and spotted Arias pedaling away and gave chase in his car.  He drove around his neighborhood for

Saud and Musaid bin Abdul-Rahman al-Auliani, two Saudi Arabian brothers, were beheaded yesterday for raping and robbing a woman at knifepoint.  They lured the unidentified victim into their car and drove off to an isolated place where they attacked her.  The brothers are the 63rd and 64th Saudis to be executed so far this year.  Saudi Arabia implements strict Islamic laws, executing murderers, rapists and drug smugglers.

Cristian Saliadarre, 28, and Anthony Alvarez, 27, were arrested on charges of having sex with a14 year old girl living at a shelter for abused children.
