Ronald Nelson, a 58 year old paint sales representative from Montgomery, Alabama, was arrestedrnNovember 19, 2006, at Morrow, Georgia, on federal charges related to traveling interstate with thernintent to have sex with a minor child. Nelson began communicating via the internet with what hernthought was the mother of a ten year old child. The mother was actually a law enforcement officerrnassigned to the FBI’s Safe Child Task Force. Nelson will appear today before a US Magistrate Judgernin Atlanta regarding these charges.

Timothy Lee Prunick, a 38 year old man

Roger Carruthers, a 43 year old mechanic residing in Lagrange, Georgia, was arrested Thursday evening, August 10, 2006, on federal charges related to the receipt and distribution of child pornography.  The arrest was conducted by the FBI in conjunction with the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Gwinnet County Sheriff’s Office, the Fulton County Police Department and the Lagrange Police Department.

Victor A. Gutierrez, a 53 year old West Hempstead auto-body shop worker, repeatedly sexually abused a 13 year old girl.  What began as a simple hello between strangers grew into inappropriate kissing and touching by Gutierrez.  The alleged abuse, which occurred in Farmingdale between January and June 2005, was revealed Thursday when the girl, now 14, told her parents and they called police.  Gutierrez was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and first degree and second degree sexual abuse.  He was ordered held in the Nassau
