On January 24, 2019, a Lafayette Parish jury convicted 41 year old Donald Griffin of First Degree Rape of a ten year old girl. Judge John Trahan presided over the case. As a result of the rape Griffin impregnated the child, who is currently mother to her one-and-a- half year old son. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Royale Colbert.

Griffin’s sentencing is scheduled for January 31, 2019. Griffin
