MAN ARRESTED AFTER ENGAGING IN SEX ACT AT A SHOPPING CENTER WITH 12-YEAR-OLD GIRL

Suffolk County Police arrested Matthew McAvoy, a 21 year old Mattituck man, for engaging ina criminal sex act with a 12 year old girl at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove. McAvoy, of4235 Deephole Drive, engaged in a criminal sex act and sexually abused the girl on May atapproximately 8 pm in a restroom corridor near the food court. He is charged with two felonycounts Criminal Sex Act 1st Degree and Sexual Abuse 2nd Degree.
