A Mandan police officer placed on administrative leave earlier this week has been fired and charged with felony sex crimes for allegedly using a hidden cellphone to film a minor in a bathroom.
Scott Warzecha, 45, faces one count of using a minor in a sexual performance and two counts of surreptitious intrusion, Mandan Deputy Chief Lori Flaten said Wednesday. A conviction on the most serious charge could send Warzecha to prison for as much as 20 years.

Cristoffer Curey, 16, was sentenced to 16 years in prison for rape and kidnapping chargesinvolving an 8 year old boy that Curey lured into the bathroom of Nickel World, a south Toledoarcade, on New Year’s day.    He used a toy to lure the boy into the bathroom, thenheld him captive, and raped him.  Curey’s has a past history of committing sex crimes andadmitted to molesting 5 other boys and a girl.  In 2003 he was convicted on charges of grosssexual imposition.
