MEDFORD, Ore. — Dorian Jeffries, 34 of Medford, pleaded guilty on Thursday, to five counts of Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse in the First Degree and was sentenced to 55 months in prison and 3 years probation.
The charges were relating to a case opened by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) after Jeffries uploaded images of child pornography on the internet.

The case was referred to Internet Crimes Against Children and the Department of Homeland Security before it reached local law enforcement.
According to the Jackson County Circuit Court, a search warrant executed at Jefferies home yielded "images of child exploitation."

The courts noted that Jeffries initially told officers "that he saved and uploaded the images in order to forward them to law enforcement," however no report was made.

Jeffries was lodged in March, will receive credit for time served and will be forced to register as a sex offender.

According to Oregon's online court system, Jeffries has several previous charges relating to sex crimes against minors.

He was logged in June of 2015 on charges of Unlawful Sexual Predation and Sexual Abuse in the First Degree for sexual activity with a child under 12. The incidents dated back to Feb 2014 and June 2015.

In May of 2016 he pled no contest to the charges and was granted credit for time served and sentenced to five years of supervised probation which would have ended in May 2021.

Jeffries was required to register as a sex offender for those crimes.

In June of 2015, Jeffries was also arraigned on charges relating to separate instances involving another child under 12 in Jan 2004 and Dec 2007.
He was charged with 4 counts of Sodomy in the First Degree and 2 counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree for sexual intercourse with a child under 12.

The case went to trial in Jan of 2016 and he was ultimately found not guilty and acquitted of all charges by a jury of 12 although one juror voted in opposition.

Oregon is the last state in the U.S. that allows juries in criminal cases to reach verdicts without all 12 jurors agreeing.
