BANDUNG, Indonesia (AP) — An Indonesian court on Tuesday sentenced an Islamic boarding school principal to life in prison for raping at least 13 students over five years and impregnating some of them.

The principal of the girls school in West Java’s Bandung city, Herry Wirawan, pleaded guilty and apologized to his victims and their families during the trial.

Former professor sentenced to 210 years in Cambodia sex crimes case

A judge in Los Angeles today sentenced former university professor Michael J. Pepe, 68, to 210 years in prison for molesting underage girls in Cambodia.

U.S. District Judge Dale S. Fischer rejected the defense’s position that such a long sentence would be unduly harsh.

“Pepe confined numerous preteen girls in his home,” said Judge Fischer. “The horrors he inflicted on those girls was more than unduly harsh, it was torture.”

Tennessee woman accused of 23 sex crimes involving 9 students at a high school

ENGLEWOOD, Tenn. (WVLT/Gray News) – A Tennessee woman is facing numerous charges after authorities said she sexually assaulted nine high school students.

Melissa Blair, 38, was indicted on 23 charges, including 18 counts of aggravated statutory rape, four counts of human trafficking by patronizing prostitution and one count of solicitation of a minor, McMinn County Sheriff Joe Guy announced on Tuesday.

WVLT reports the Department of Children’s Services notified detectives in early December that Blair had sexual encounters with boys who were students at McMinn County Central High School.

Two Charged with Sex Trafficking of Minors

Two men have been arrested in connection with a statewide, multi-agency operation to rescue victims of sex trafficking, Long Beach police announced Wednesday.

William Earl Givens, 19, of Long Beach, and Ryan Keith Culpepper, 29, of Los Angeles, were arrested this month in undercover investigations at two motels, where two minors were allegedly being sex-trafficked, according to police.

Jury finds Jack Strain guilty on all counts

Jack Strain, who spent two decades in St. Tammany Parish’s top law enforcement seat, will now spend his life behind bars.

Strain, 58, was on trial for two weeks amid accusations of sexually abusing multiple juveniles before and during his time as sheriff.

On Monday, he was found guilty on all eight charges he faced.

Graphic testimony was heard for nearly two weeks. Strain’s lawyers say he is innocent and added the allegations are false and do not add up.

San Jose Police Arrest 35 Suspects Wanted For Alleged Sex Crimes

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) — A sweep underway in the South Bay since the beginning of the year has resulted in San Jose police arresting 35 suspects with outstanding warrants for alleged sex crimes including felony cases of sexual assault of a minor and rape.
