Lisandra Zingaro, a 31 year old New Jersey school teacher, was arraigned yesterday on charges of second-degree sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a minor.  She denies the charges.  Zingaro, who has been estranged from her husband for about a year and a half, met four times with a 16 year old student in her home where they had intercourse and oral sex.  If she is convicted of the sex charges, she faces 10 years in prison.  She was being held yesterday on $50,000 bail.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre announced yesterday a 24-hour telephone line to handle complaints of sex abuse by priests is part of its continuing overhaul of how such complaints are handled.  The phone line will be manned by members of a special pastoral team Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  At other times, messages can be left on an answering machine, and team members will return the calls promptly.  The phone number is 516-594-9063.

An 11 year old girl impregnated by James Kave, a 75 year old pervert, has given birth and now wants to raise her baby as a full-time mom.  Kave, who lives in Harborview Towers, a residence for the elderly, has admitted having sex with the girl several times beginning in January 2001 and she became pregnant when she was 10.  Kave met the girl through the Adopt-A-Godparent program, which pairs young people with widows and widowers looking for a friend.  He was arrested April 17 on eight counts of sexual

Steven McLeod, a 40 year old veteran fire department paramedic, was arrested yesterday on childpornography charges. In addition to the kiddie porn charges, authorities slapped him with weaponscharges for the unlicensed Derringer handgun they found in his apartment.

Efrain Torres, a 59 year old Manhattan man, was arrested early yesterday after he droppedpornographic photo negatives off at his local pharmacy for development. The pharmacy’s co-ownerStuart Zuckerman says the store sent the film to a photo processing lab where employees discoveredthe pictures and alerted him. He

Cops are hunting for three men who abducted a 13 year old girl who was walking home from school last Friday.  The girl, who lives in Mount Vernon, was kept prisoner for 14 hours and gang-raped twice.  The girl walked to the corner of Dyer and East 233rd, and hailed a car, which took her home.  Her parents took her to Mount Vernon Hospital and reported the incident to police.

Gennaro Jerry Anthony Natalie Jr., a 56 year old upstate retiree, has been charged with raping a 14 year old girl he met on the Internet.  Natalie, of White Street in Saratoga Springs, has been charged with third-degree rape and sodomy and endangering the welfare of a child.
