Christopher Bayer, 29, was convicted of sodomizing a boy he helped train as a clown.   Bayer, of 178 N. Queens Ave., works as a circus clown called Smiley.  He was arrested after a man found him engaging in a sexual act with the man’s son and called police.   He was convicted of nine out of 13 counts after the jury deliberated for 6 1/2 hours.  The crimes for which he was found guilty included multiple counts of sodomy, sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.  He was acquitted

Paul Alexander, a 35 year old Bay Shore landscaper, is accused of enticing at least 20 boys on Long Island to participate in sexual activities or in the production of child pornography.  He was arrested Thursday by FBI agents on a charge of using minors as young as 11 in child pornography for the past 16 years.  He would hire the boys to help in his landscaping business and then pay them to engage in the pornographic activities at his home.  A federal magistrate denied bail yesterday.

Eugenio Soto, a 46 year old Freeport man, was arrested and charged with sexually molesting the 9 year old daughter of a former girlfriend.   He has been charged with sexual abuse for allegedly fondling the child in his car on October 10th, while on the way to a toy store.  According to Nassau County Detective Sgt.
