rnrnNewsday/Andrew Smithrn 4/29/15rn Jason Lee, a 38 year old Wall Street banker, was acquitted Wednesday in Riverhead on rapernand related charges accusing him of forcing a 20 year old woman to have sex with him in an EastrnHampton rental in August.  Lee, of TriBeCa, who served as one of thousands of managingrndirectors at Goldman Sachs, was indicted on charges he raped an Irish national who was in thernUnited States working during the summer.  He pleaded not guilty to one count of first degreernrape, sexual misconduct and third degree assault.  Lee

Patrick O’Sullivan, a 23 year old East Moriches man, pleaded guilty to raping a housesitter, then trying to hire a hit man to kill her to stop any testimony against him. O’Sullivan was sentenced to 25 years in prison on rape, criminal sexual act, burglary,sexual abuse and conspiracy.  He was masked and carried a loaded rifle on November 20, 2012,when he entered a Stony Brook house through an unlocked door.  He fired twice and bound hisvictim with duct tape.  While he was in county jail on the pending charges, he hired someoneto kill the victim and another person who he believed would testify against him.

Police are searching for the man who exposed himself to a 6 year old girl in Cedarhurst lastThursday evening on Marlborough Road.  According to police, the man drove up to the girl,flashed her and then drove away.  Anyone with information is asked to call Nassau CrimeStoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.

news12 7/30/15 There is a new push to change a law that currently allows a sex offender to legally livenext door to a child’s school.  County restrictions that kept registered offenders away fromschools and playgrounds were tossed out by the State Court of Appeals in February.  There iscurrently a bill to restore the power to counties restricting where sex offenders live.  Thereis also a new call to expand a predator’s time on the sex registry from 20 years to 30 years. Levorn Mays, Jr., a registered Level 1 sex offender in Inwood, has been arrested again andaccused of possessing child porn.  Police say he uploaded child porn to his Gmail and Dropboxaccounts.  Mays was out on bail after his last arrest for similar charges in March.
