An Otsego County man was back in court Tuesday to learn his punishment after taking a plea in a massive sex crimes investigation.
In April Raymond Neeley Jr. was charged with 60 counts of criminal sexual conduct.
The case took a turn several months later when the victim took her own life.
Neeley accepted a plea deal last month, pleading no contest to a single charge of a fourth-degree sex crime.
That means he does not admit guilt but accepts the punishment.

PAULS VALLEY, Okla. — An Oklahoma couple have been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after being convicted in what officials are calling a “horrifying” child abuse case.
Garvin County District Judge Leah Edwards sentenced Gerrad Coddington, 25, and Christina Nelson-Coddington, 30, both of Pauls Valley, on all 29 counts relating to child abuse, including first-degree rape, incest, child abuse, manufacturing child pornography and lewd acts with a minor, among others, according to Attorney General Mike Hunter’s office.

A 65-year-old El Nido man was sentenced to 61 years to life in prison for sexually abusing four children under 14 years old, the Merced County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.
Felipe Rubalcaba was sentenced Thursday after the four victims gave statements about how the abuse affected their lives, prosecutors said in a news release.

TROY — A Miami County judge Tuesday sentenced a former Ohio High School Athletic Association official from Troy to five years in prison for having sexual contact with a teenage girl, saying Henry A. Lucas Jr. had a dark side not seen by many.

GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — A former northern Michigan principal has been sentenced for sex crimes.
A Grand Traverse County judge has sentenced Karl Hartman to three to five years in prison and more than $2,000 in fines for three counts of assault with intent to commit second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Hartman pleaded guilty to those charges in October.
