A Northern Virginia gymnastics coach has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing an underage athlete more than a decade ago.
Prince William County Police say Sergio Galvez, now 47, trained the alleged victim at the Capital Gymnastics National Training Center in Burke and sexually abused her multiple times in the Haymarket area between August 2007 and November 2008.

Testing in Florida’s Palm Beach County of 1,500 backlogged rape kits has led to the arrest of a registered sex offender for a 1992 rape.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said Noel Bango, 57, was arrested Oct. 19 in Deptford Township, N.J., a Philadelphia suburb, on a warrant accusing him of the rape, according to reports.

The accuser was 17 when she reported being raped in a random attack in Delray Beach 27 years ago, the Palm Beach Post reported.

The woman’s rape kit was part of a backlog of 1,500 rape kits in Palm Beach County.

A Florissant teen accused of multiple rapes has been charged with new sex crimes related to a victim who was fourteen years old at the time.

Dominic Yocco, nineteen, surrendered in September to St. Louis County police after six girls, ages thirteen to sixteen, told investigators he had victimized them between November 2016 and July 2018.

Disgraced former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky is facing new allegations of sexual abuse, according to officials.
An unidentified person reported to university police Tuesday that Sandusky sexually assaulted them between June 2000 and September 2010, spokesman Wyatt DuBois told the Centre Daily Times.

“This incident report is the result of the university’s internal and external reporting procedures upon receipt of a new allegation of abuse by Jerry Sandusky,” DuBois said. “An investigation is ongoing and we have no further comment.”
