A prison sentence was handed down this week to a former Oakland County Commission candidate for sex crimes against a child.

In a sentencing agreement with the prosecution, Markus Vernon Tincher, 35, of Pontiac pleaded no contest to the charges before Oakland County Circuit Judge Victoria Valentine in February, and on April 19 received concurrent sentences of 12 to 45 years for first-degree criminal sexual conduct, and 5 to 15 years for second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a person under age 13. NEW YORK (AP) — Another accuser took the witness stand on Monday at R. Kelly’s sex-trafficking trial, testifying that the R&B superstar sexually abused her on his tour bus and in hotel rooms when she was still a high school student and an aspiring singer.

A Minnesota man was convicted Tuesday of raping his then girlfriend’s four-year-old twin daughters and giving them a sexually transmitted disease, according to a report.
Arturo Macarro Gutierrez, 36, was arrested in October 2018 after one of the girls told her grandmother her “daddy” hurt her, the Pioneer Press reported. The girl was taken to the hospital where she tested positive for gonorrhea.
Gutierrez was arrested after a SWAT team found him hiding in an attic at a home in St. Paul.

156 years. That’s how long 39-year-old Jay Holliday was sentenced to spend behind bars in Allen County Common Pleas Court.
Holliday, who took a plea deal back in January, pleaded guilty to 12 counts of sexual battery and 12 counts of felonious assault – the latter of which were for sexual conduct with a minor while knowing that he was a carrier of AIDS. Holliday will also have to register as a Tier 3 sex offender.

A former Florida middle school assistant principal who molested at least one teenager — without revealing he was HIV-positive — has been sentenced to 35 years in federal prison.
