COPS: GIRL FLEES MAN

A 16 year old Roosevelt girl freed herself from the grip of a would-be abductor by punching himand running. The girl was walking home Monday from Roosevelt Junior-Senior High School around 2:50pm and she noticed a dark-colored sedan slowly following her near Denton Place and Mirin Avenue.Police said there were four occupants in the vehicle. Moments later, a man in the backseat of thecar asked her whether she wanted a ride. She declined and the man grabbed her by the jacket. Sheimmediately punched him in the elbow and ran
