Dailymail.com/Ryan Gorman 11/15/2013 Austin Clem, a 25 year old married Alabama father, will not go to prison despite beingconvicted of three counts of rape dating back to when his victim was only 14 years old.  Clemraped the girl three times between the ages of 14 and 18 years old and spend two years in a reformprogram and three years on probation instead of being locked up.  The program, administered bythe county jail, is intended to keep non-violent offenders out of prison.  He will also haveto register as a sex offender.

Jonathan Elsalam, a 28 year old former Bellport High School social studiesteacher, was acquitted of rape charges for having sex with an underage student but was convicted ofa misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child.  Elsalam, of Ridge, was found notguilty of two counts of third-degree rape and four counts of third-degree criminal sexualact.  He resigned after a months long relationship came to light in September 2012 and faces amaximum of a year in jail when sentenced on May 9, the victim’s 19th birthday.  The verdictensures

Jesse Friedman, of Harlem, is seeking to clear his name.  The former Great Neck manfiled court papers on January 8, 2004, to vacate his 1988 sex abuse convictions because he claimssome of the boys who said they were molested did so after they were hypnotized and others did soafter they were repeatedly questioned by police.  Friedman cited evidence unearthed by themaker of the award winning documentary film Capturing the Friedmans, which raised questions aboutthe quality of evidence against him and his father, Arnold. Luke Pruitt, a 21 year old man from Fishers, Ind., has been charged with bestiality, and isaccused of trying to coerce his infant’s mother, and his infant, into engaging in sexual activitywith him.  Police investigators found sexually explicit images on his computer, among theimages found were those of Pruitt engaged in sexual acts with a dog.  He is also accused ofbeing in possession of child pornography and of being sexually attracted to his four month olddaughter, which he allegedly admitted to the authorities.

Two teenage girls were captured on cell phone video punching and kicking a 16 year old girl,who was allegedly held down by her friends and raped by an older boy.  The five suspects,Patricia Montes, 15, Erica Avery, 16, Dwight Henry, 17, Lanel Singelton, 18 and Jayvon Woolfork,19, have all been charged with the attack.
