PRISON TERM FOR SEX WITH UNDERAGE GIRLS

Eric S. Fischer, a 23 year old Sayville man, was arraigned on charges of attempting to disseminate indecent material to a minor, endangering a child's welfare and engaging in a criminal sex act for showing up at a Coram cemetery expecting to have sex with a 13 year old girl he met on a vampire freaks Web site but instead found Suffolk detectives who arrested him for the attempted act.  Fischer was arrested in March 2006 on rape charges after a 16 year old told her friend she had met a man on the site and had sex with him.  The friend then told her mother.  He was then arrested on rape and criminal sex act charges.  Police are investigating whether he was involved in another teen rape and say the probe could grow larger.  They are asking anyone with more information about this case or there related cases to call either the Fifth Squad at 631 854 8538 or the computer crimes unit at 631 852 6279.

On July 20, Fischer pleaded not guilty to rape and sodomy charges.  The 25 count indictment included charges of third degree rape, third degree criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child.  He was held on $350,000 bail.

Fischer was sentenced to 1 1/3 to 4 years in prison on Feburary 7, 2007.  He pleaded guilty last month to six counts of third degree rape, one for each of the girls prosecutors said he had sex with.
