RUSTBURG — A Lynchburg man was found guilty Wednesday of committing multiple sexual battery crimes against a child last year.
Roger Edward Blankenship, 56, was arrested in March on three counts each of aggravated sexual battery against a child younger than 13, forcible sodomy of a child younger than 13 and taking indecent liberties with a child. The victim in question was 9 on the offense dates listed for most of the charges.

BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – Lowcountry deputies are seeking information after they arrested a man accused of uploading child sex abuse images to the internet.

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office arrested 54-year-old Howard Earl Shappee of Bluffton on four counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

His arrest stems from an investigation which started when the sheriff’s office received information from the attorney general’s office Internet Crimes Against Children program regarding someone uploading child sexual abuse images to the internet from an electronic device in Beaufort

MADISON (WQOW) – A federal judge on Friday eased some of the restrictions on Dan Peggs, the former Altoona superintendent facing child sex crime charges.

The judge approved a request from Peggs’ lawyers to allow him to move to a home in the Madison area, to find a job, and only be on curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Until now, he could only leave his residence for legal, medical or religious events. Peggs will also need approval from the probation office to make the changes.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) — A 37-year-old Athol man was arrested by the U.S. Marshalls Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force on Friday night and charged with multiple sex crimes against minors.
The Coeur d’Alene Press reports Kenneth Bernard Kimberly III was arrested at the Clock Tower Village Apartments in Spokane Valley on two outstanding felony warrants issued by the State of Idaho, the U.S. Marshals Service reported.

MANITOWOC – Eric Fisher, a former cheer coach in Manitowoc, has been sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in state prison after attempting to have sex with a 15-year-old.
Fisher, 30, was convicted of five felony charges including using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, two charges of soliciting intimate representation from a minor and two charges of exposing a child to harmful material.
