Ten-year-old Zachary Snider was smothered with a pillow, strangled, brutally raped and murdered by someone in his neighborhood.
His attacker, Christopher Stevens, was a previously convicted child molester and had been out of jail on probation at the time of the killing, but Snider’s parents had no clue. Neither did the neighbors.

Florida deputies have accused a homeless man of sexual assaulting a woman who let him stay in her home for the night.
Pinellas County deputies said Clark Caplan, 44, was looking for a place to spend the night around midnight on Thanksgiving when he knocked on the woman’s door in St. Pete Beach, according to Fox 13 Tampa.
They said the woman invited Caplan in and said he could sleep on the floor in her living room.

United States Attorney Ron Parsons announced that an Eagle Butte, South Dakota, man convicted of Sexual Exploitation of a Child and Possession of Child Pornography, was sentenced on November 23, 2020, by Chief Judge Roberto A. Lange, U.S. District Court.
Dustin Red Legs, age 41, was sentenced to 264 months in federal prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release, and a special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund in the amount of $200.
Red Legs was indicted by a federal grand jury on May 14, 2019. He

KAYSVILLE — A 56-year-old Kaysville man faces three child sexual abuse charges from alleged incidents that occurred a decade apart.
Kaysville police arrested Steven Louis Flocken on Sept. 13 after a couple reported the day before that they were at Flocken’s home for a barbecue when Flocken, their next-door neighbor, inappropriately touched their 5-year-old daughter.
A subsequent investigation of Flocken’s history resulted in allegations that in 2010-11, Flocken allegedly twice raped the 5-year-old daughter of the woman who cleaned his house.

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) — The Catholic Diocese of Pueblo failed to immediately report child sex abuse allegations to police after a victim came forward in February 2020, according to a report released by the Colorado Attorney General’s office Tuesday morning.
The victim reported to the Pueblo Diocese that Monsignor Marvin Kapushion sexually abused him in 1984 but police weren’t notified until two weeks after Kapushion died in April 2020, according to the report, which was published by former U.S. Attorney Bob Troyer.
The former U.S. attorney wrote that
