A Texas teacher is charged with having sex with a 15-year-old male student — just months after she started working at a high school, court records show.
Hailey Pardy, a 25-year-old former math teacher at Bastrop High School, was arrested Thursday by Round Rock police following her indictment by a grand jury for allegedly having an improper relationship with a student, a second-degree felony, the Austin American-Statesman reports.
Pardy, then 23, had sex with the teen student on Dec. 1, 2018, police said.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Springfield Mayor Christine Lundberg resigned Saturday, effective immediately.
On Tuesday, Springfield Police arrested her son and booked him into the Lane County Jail on 10 counts of felony first degree Encouraging Child Sex Abuse.

Police booked Benjamin Daniel Lundberg, 39, just after 10 a.m.

According to Springfield Police:
Lundberg’s arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation into child pornography involving the Springfield Police, the Eugene Police as well as other jurisdictions within the State, including ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children).

PARKERSBURG, W.Va (WTAP) – A Hocking County man was sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday after pleading guilty to dozens of sex crimes in Athens County Common Pleas Court.
Joshua Weaver, 40, pleaded guilty to nine counts of rape, 10 counts of gross sexual imposition and 16 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person, all of which are felonies.
He also pleaded guilty to nine misdemeanor counts of sexual conduct with an animal.

A man was arrested at his residence in Surprise on Wednesday after police found dozens of images and videos depicting child sexual abuse and assault on his SD card, according to officials.
Between August 2019 and January 2020, Surprise police received six cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reporting an IP address that was transmitting child sexual abuse materials, according to court documents.
