KANNAPOLIS, NC (WBTV) – A Kannapolis man pled guilty Monday more than two years after he was accused of committing repeated sex crimes against a 7-year-old girl he was an acquaintance of.
Homer David Compton, Jr., 47, pled guilty as charged in court with no plea agreement in Rowan County Criminal Superior Court to four counts of felony indecent liberties with a child, six counts of felony statutory rape of a child and one count of felony sex offense with a child.

Congressional measures targeting sexual assault in the military gained momentum Thursday as lawmakers voiced growing support for overhauling how decisions about prosecuting sex crimes are made.

Proposals in both chambers would strip military commanders of the authority to decide which alleged incidents of sexual assault are tried in military courts and which result in lesser punishments or are dismissed, reflecting lawmakers’ frustration with the failure of earlier attempts to end the scourge of harassment and assault in the ranks.

Fort Myers, Florida – U.S. District Judge Sheri Polster Chappell has sentenced Christopher Ted Duluk (32, Fort Myers) to seven years in federal prison for possessing images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children. Duluk was also sentenced to a 15-year term of supervised release and ordered to register as a sex offender.
Duluk was found guilty after a bench trial on December 2, 2020.

LONDON — A former English National Ballet principal dancer was convicted Tuesday of sexually assaulting young female dance students.
Yat-Sen Chang, 49, was found guilty of 12 counts of sexual assault and one count of “assault by penetration.” The offenses took place at the English National Ballet and Young Dancers Academy in London from 2009 to 2016, and relate to four teens who were between 16 and 18 years old at the time.
